Narros Astan walked into a small, well lit clearing. It had a small lamp post keeping it warm and bright, and this is what interested in. If Narnia intended to fight Calormene, this position would be a great sentry post. Why leave it burning? It would be like a signal fire for Calormens troops. Oh well, if they didn't, he could make Narnia like taking candy from a baby. He walked up to the lamp post, and rubbed its surface. The post had small bits of rust all over it due to age.
He started flaking off small bits of it, his mind elsewhere. This was the first sign of Narnian people in this dense forest, other than Cair Paravel. It also signalled that he was closer to Cair Paravel, his one objective.

Akira was riding Darkness through the forest at a trot. Her mind was whirling with thoughts and the current events. They had kept the death of her father quite. Her mother had fallen ill and Akria was afraid that either one of the Pevensies could be next. She shivered. She didn't want the kings and queens she served dying. She pushed her black hair out of her brown eyes. Darkness stopped and tossed her mane nervously. "Whats wrong girl?" Akira asked softly, rubbing her mane. Akira straightened and looked around. They had came to the lamp post, the same spot where she was here with Edmund a few days ago. A lump rose in her throat and she shook her head to prevent tears. She would do anything she could to prevent him and the rest from leaving. Riding closer at a trot, she saw a man, a rather tall man, rubbing his hand on the lamp post.

"Hey! What are you doing?" Akira had pulled Darkness's reins, slowing the horse to a stop. She lightly jumped off the black horse. Her brown eyes were wary as she pulled the light brown cloak tighter around her. Underneath the cloak, she was wearing a dark yellow, almost gold, riding blouse with silver triming and a dark silver riding skirt. She had gotten permsison from King Peter to take the day off, seeing as how she was working hard at the council meetings. Ever since her father, who was the king's adviser, had died, she had been appointed temporary advisor to the king. But it was done very quietly of course. The only people that knew the changes where the rest of the Pevensies and the council members. She watched the man warily, making a mental note to get her sword if she needed it. The fourteen year old shook her head slightly, thinking that she would never use it. But you'll never know.

Narros whirled in surprise as someone rode into the clearing. "I be doing what I want!" He thundered. This had certainly ruined his mood. "And I could ask you the same question!" He noticed she was armed, but he was ready for a fight if required. "I'm a Calormenian Chaplain here as an emissary! So unless you want to take me there, go away!" He had gone through Archenland, across the desert, through most of Narnia, and now to be yelled at by a young lady! Anger seemed to roll off him in waves of heat.

Akira raised an eyebrow. "I didn't receive word of any emissarires coming to Narnia. I would have certainly remembered." her eyes slightly narrowed a bit. "The high king said I could take the day off since I've been working with the reports," she remarked somewhat cooly. She was still holding onto the sword. Her eyes were staring straight at him. Darkness shifted slightly. Her attention flickered to her horse. "Easy girl," she smoothed. "Its alright," her eyes flickered back to the guy. "Whats your name?" she inquired.

"Ah, well, I don't think he would have made it, what with all you minotaurs and such hating my people! I have been lucky to make it this far!" He knew this would make an already tense situation even worse, but he didn't care. After he heard "High King" said, he knew that he had chosen the wrong time to make that remark. He watched as she soothed her horse, the thing was frightened, and heaven knows by what. " My name is Narros Astan, and what is yours"?
