Alexander Tuck walked into the castle, his blue eyes gazing about cautiously, always wary about things, though what the reason was, nobody would know except for him. He entered the throne room boldly, having been hired by somebody to be the High-King Peter's personal guard, and it was an honor that would help Alex spend a decent time of his everlasting life to do. The blond haired 16 year old stood there proudly beside the chair of the High-King, waiting to be able to pledge his loyalty to Peter, and explain who had given him this duty and why. He didn't expect the high-king to be happy, considering Peter was a warrior, but Alex's duties were not only to protect and serve the High-King, but all 4 of the Pevensies, whoever needed him most. There he stood, cold, and relaxed, ignoring a few noble girls from court who were giggling and pointing at him.

Akio's eyes were suspicous enough as he drummed his fingers on the table. He didn't noticed Keiko whispering something urgently in his ear. He grinned and pinched her arm lightly. Keiko pinched him back and went to go get Akira. Thinking of his daughter, Akio sighed. She was getting to be a bit of a trouble maker lately. But this was no time to be thinking about here. With a sigh the advisor stood and went over to the blonde haired boy who was to be the high king's personal guard. Luckly Akio didn't mind, as long as the boy and his siblings were well protected. He was even starting to think of them like his own.
"Bet you feel happy eh?" he muttered in his ear.

Alexander stared at the man who approached him for a moment, and kept wary, although he offered a polite smile, just so he didn't offend anyone, it was always annoying when people thought he was ignoring them, when actually, he just didn't have anything to say. But right now, he figured he'd say something, to keep the royal advisor off his back. "Happy? It is an honor to serve their Majesties. I would die for them if necessary." Except I can't, remember? Alex stared at the man, but then thought to himself, that it was better to have someone like Alexander on the guard, because he could get in the way of arrows and so on for his royals, but he also wouldn't die from those wounds he took, so there would be no guilt needed. The blond kept a hand on his sword, he always needed to be ready, and stood there, a blue eye watching the doors in case any of the Pevensies would come in, and the other fixed on Akio.

Akio smiled. "Aye it is. I was just as happy as you are when I was appionted advisor. Its hard work though, trying to balance everything in between...." his voice trailed off, lost in his own thoughts. He kept one eye on the young boy, watching him in case he tried to do anything. The smile became kinder. "Akio Mitsune," he introduced himself as two wonderful ladies walked in. The younger one waved at him. Akio chuckled as he waved to his daughter. I do hope she would be good, he thought as he watched her like a hawk. He didn't have any problems with Akira except with her unpredictable behavior.

Alexander simply stared at this man, barging in, and talking to him, as if that was all that was to be done here, and though, true, Alexander was not guarding anyone just yet, it still annoyed him, because the older man seeemed to be babbling on a bit. Alex was generally a quiet person, so it wasn't very likely for him to speak as often as some, or at least, he didn't want to. The man before him acted as though he were older and wiser in most things, and that as well bothered Alex, because he was old enough to be the man's great grandfather or even further back. "Alexander Tuck." He responded with, since the royal advisor seemed to be offering his own name, so what the heck, might as well be somewhat polite. The blond stared with a small bit of interest as the two ladies walked in, but then he looked away, letting himself remember the babbling the royal advisor had been saying. "Not for me. I find it an easy duty, but it distracts me." He spoke calmly, wondering why exactly this man wanted to talk to him, and so he stood there, exasperated, though he covered it nicely with a cordial smile.

Akio nodded. "A pleasure Alexander." He placed his feet a few inches apart from each other and linked his hands behind his back. It was his normal position when he was with the king. He was suppose to be staring straight ahead, but he looked at Alexander once more. "Forgive me for saying this, I do have their majesties' interest at heart as I do with my daughter. But if I see you trying to hurt them in anyway, you won't like whats coming," he warned gently, but sternly. He considered protecting the kings and queens a part of his job, even if he was the advisor. Maybe it was part of his fatherly instincts as well.

Alexander could tolerate a lot of insults, and a lot of obnoxious words, but this man definately said the worst. Red color started coming into his cheeks, and he seemed to be at a loss for words, or trying desperately not to burst out with something rude. It was more likely the latter, as he glanced coldly at the royal advisor, before he stuck his chin out stubbornly, trying to keep his temper in check. "Sir, you may say a lot about me, insult me all you like about anything else, but now you clearly don't understand what I want." Alexander spoke coldly, his face obviously angry, and very annoyed, and he finally simply let it show, before he turned his head to watch the doors again, wondering why this fool of a man was even talking to him. "You threaten me sir, and yet you don't even know what I'm capable of. Not a very wise royal advisor are you?" His face gave away the fact that he was very insulted, but he also laughed after he commented on the threat, because he knew something that this royal advisor did not know, so clearly, who was really the smarter person? Alexander never thought himself amazing, or better than others, and all he found himself thinking right then was how annoying people could be, and they didn't really take hints.

He turned sideways to face the boy. Akira looked up from the table and knew it was time to interfer. Her mother thought the same way for she leaned in to whisper, "Bring your father over here dear." "Yes mama," Akira answered quitely and left the table. She walked up and tugged at his sleeve. Akio blinked as he looked down. "Yes dear?" "Mother wants you," she told him softy. Akio looked at Keiko. She had a stern look on her face and he knew it was time to leave. He sighed and walked off. Shaking her head Akira curtised to him. "Excuse my father," she told him softly. "He tends to be a bit overly protective sometimes,"

Alexander bowed as the young lady curtsied, thankful that the rude man had gone away from him, at least for now, while his temper was still needed to be reined in. The blond young man smiled at the lady who spoke to him, because she clearly understood the royal advisor, and had wisely intervened, to which Alex was greatful, because he knew himself well...and he would not have kept himself from bursting out in rage. "I could understand that, but why else be a guard if it were not to protect those of whom are being guarded? I waste away through my life anyway, I may as well protect those more important then me." Alexander spoke calmly, and oddly longer than he'd usually string words, most likely because he wasn't stiff with anger, and this young lady seemed decently open, so he could speak his mind, though not all of it, as he stared at the royal advisor who was speaking to his wife, and they were both upset looking, which caused Alexander to frown a little bit. "My lady, it is I who should be excused for having burst out my opinions. I sometimes forget myself." Alexander sighed, and lowered his head, ashamed of himself slightly, his blue eyes watching the doors, somewhat hoping that one of the royals would come into the throne room, but he also didn't mind talking to this noble woman, who seemed very unlike her father.

Akira smiled brightly. "Its all right. I tend to do that sometimes as well. It happens to all of us." she let her gaze roam around the room for a while. Oh dear, they're arguing again, she thought with a sigh. Really, papa needs a bit fun sometimes, she thought with a grin. That would be wonderful for her. Akio could really use some time off, she suddenly realized with a start. She made a mental note to talk to King Peter about it. She then wandered what he woud say about it. Probably rant on about it for a while, she thought.
She eyed the door, her thoughts were suddenly on Edmund again. She let out a sigh and looked up, a smile was on her face. "Its just Akira," she told him.

Alexander nodded, looking past Akira for a moment, deep in thought, not knowing what he should say to her. It was true that most people had their moments like it, but he would have thought that he'd learned by now. "I should have it under control by now though." Alex muttered softly, a bit too loudly, though what did it matter. This young lady didn't know his past, or how meaningless he felt his life had become, everlasting, but nothing to keep the mind satisfied. It was said that Alexander had once loved passionately, too much so perhaps. But he had learned his lesson, and learned it well. "Akira? It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Alexander Tuck, of much less importance of course, but I am at your service, if need be." Alex spoke softly, and politely, his blue eyes and his expression looking decently withdrawn, and it was clear that he was remembering something. He remembered that smile of hers, so warm, so fair, when they danced together beneath the stars...Alexander glanced away from the lady Akira as he fought to control the pain that was beneath the calm, the storm hidden in the clouds. As he was finally able to look back at Akira, he noticed a sort of joy radiating from her, and he remembered a different person, looking that same way as she had looked at him. "You have someone on your mind, don't you, Akira?" Alexander questioned softly, his blue eyes watching her face carefully, hoping he did not upset this lady, because then the royal advisor would most likely try to kill him, only to discover that Alex could not die, and then where would they be? Would they think he was a demon, like Alexander's former love had? If so, then he would not relish the torment once again, and he would try to avoid insulting anyone.

"For some people its easy. For most though, you have to work hard to control it though. But me, I sometimes act first and think later." she confessed with a grin. "Sometimes its useful and sometimes its not. You'll have to know when its useful." like getting yourself out of danger, she thought but didn't want to say it. She had experince some midly dangerous situations before. Akira managed to wriggle herself out of them though. But a thought struck her: what if there was one in which it was impossible to get out of. She shuddered at the thought.
"A pleasure," she said ever so polietly. There was a far away look in her eyes. She looked up at him and turned a delicate shade of pink. "Maybe," she mumbled under her breath. She knew she was blushing, but she couldn't help it. Akira took a deep breath and didn't speak until she was herself again. "There is," she began, her eye on the door. "But I wander if he feels the same way about me the way I do about him."

Alexander looked at the maiden, as he let himself forget what he had accidentally remembered, listening to Akira speak, a much better thing to think of, what to say back. "And sometimes it's better not to act at all." Alex spoke softly, his eyes lowered, his hands clutching the necklace the lady he had loved once gave him, a heart, with their initials etched into it, forever and always. There were some days when he couldn't even bear wearing the necklace, and others, where he needed to wear it in order to go through the day well. Alex grinned as he saw the girl's reaction, and his blue eyes seemed to shine again, as he listened to the lady speak. "Lady Akira, if it is you, I am quite certain this good sir you speak of is besotted with you. For how can he not be, with a maiden as generous as you?" Alexander asked her, speaking kindly, and through personal experience, he knew for sure, that if he were the young man, he'd be pretty affectionate. His eyes closed for a moment, as the memories once again swirled around him, but he chose not to grab them, and he felt a little bit better. "Lady Akira, I would say that he is a very lucky man to have someone like you in his life." Alexander spoke, and his eyes darkened as he remembered another time he had said those words, almost perfectly similar, only then, the young lady had not been besotted with the man who loved her. No, instead, she had wanted Alexander, and he had obliged. And yet now, he realized how foolish he had been then, and how he should have acted, but now it was too late, and the scars of the past were not healing as they should.

Akira smiled shyly. "You're flatering me," she said with a grin. She was starting to like the boy, Alexander. He seemed friendly enough to her. If need be she would make his time a lovely one with a personalitly like hers. A few guards passed by and grinned at her, nodding. Akira smiled brightly as she nodded back. She had made plently of friends with most of the guards. Her father, of course, disapproved. But who cares? She might find this useful, as a few nobles certianly pointed this out. She had shrugged it off. And speaking of her father, where was he anyways? she asked herself, her gaze roaming again.
Sure enough her parents walked back in with smiles on their faces. She raised an eyebrow as a thought occured to her. She pushed it away as she smiled. "I have never been in this situation before though. Its pleasing enough but scary at the same time." she paused to gather her thoughts. The playful glitter once returned to her eyes. "I do hope he does." she looked up at him and smiled.

Alexander smiled at the maiden who seemed filled with life and joy, about the complete opposite as how Alex himself felt. Though he had his reasons, he dearly wished to go back and be like her again, but living forever made him feel all alone, and forgotten, more so than ever imagined. "At times, flattery is a nice thing, is it not? At times when I can make others happier, it makes me able to forget my own misfortunes." Alexander spoke calmly, his blue eyes watching the royal advisor's daughter curiously, wondering if he had given her too much information about himself. It was never wise to let anyone know your deepest, darkest secret, for if they turned on you, who would you be able to go to about it? They would be able to spread it to whomever they wished, and so it was why Alex avoided getting too close to anyone, and made few friends. "I am sure he does, dear Akira. And enjoy it while you can, or as long as possible." Oh great, now he was sounding slightly depressing. Did he mean to say that the love could die if they didn't hang on tight to it? Most likely not, but he was in a very odd mood, and was certainly confused that he was even speaking to anyone with his present state of mind, his sadness that came and left constantly made no room for any joy, and so he felt bad that he had even said something like he had to Akira.
