Queen Susan of Cair Paravel rode into the city of Beruna, her heart broken, her eyes dull, the sparkle in them seeming to have died out, as the beautiful young woman came into the city, which ended up having several people bow to her, and then ask her to do some odd favor or other, and she did them all, trying to smile her warmest smile, but it seemed hollow, and she simply asked one narnian where she could go to be somewhat forgotten and left alone. The narnian showed her to a loud pub, and she sat in the corner table, and then her red-rimmed eyes filled again, she somewhat wished her brothers or her sister Lucy were here, though she knew they probably had better things. Susan had never felt so miserable, and had Jake seriously missed the look in that woman's eyes that he had been kissing? She didn't really want him, and yet he was all over her, and it seemed he had forgotten all about Susan. The young queen lowered her head to the table, and began to sob, only taking comfort to know that nobody would hear her, and nobody would find her either.

Peter rode to the town of Beruna, he made just finshed a meeting with the towns people and they seemed to have some trouble with werewolves in the area. Peter quickly told them to leave. When he was finshed with that he thought that he would grab a drink before he left. He jumped off Shadow as he made his way to the pub. He didn't wont anyone to see him in this town, if anyone found out that the High King of Narina was here and not at the castle Akio would have his head. He walked in hood over his head. He walked up to the bar and asked for a drink and walked over to a table. As he sat down he couldn't help but look over to see a women. He looked at her for the longest time making sure his hood was covering his face. Then it hit him IT was susan....but why was she crying?.

Susan stopped crying for a moment, and lifted her head to look around, her brown eyes glancing dully about, and then she asked the bartender for a water, for she wasn't stupid enough to drink or anything, but she needed to stop her headache she had gotten from crying. She took a sip at the water she was given, and then she realized she was still wearing the necklace Jake had given her. Susan stroked it for a moment, her eyes somewhat brightening as she remembered when he gave it to her, and the good things he had said, but then she tore it off her neck, and flung it on the table, and simply glanced at it, noticing the hooded figure, and an eyebrow raised, as she stared silently at the person, before she began to take apart the piece of jewelry Jake had given to her, throwing every piece, one at a time, away. and then her eyes went back to that dull stare, sort of as though she weren't entirely there, and she said to herself, "Peter was right about him...." And then her head went back into her arms, as she began to cry fresh tears, wanting to get rid of every last bit of emotion she had about Jake, wanting him to get out of her head.

Peter looked at Susan as she was at the bar getting water. Then he heared his name and what she said. What could she be talking about then he noticed that she was taking off the gift that Jake had given her. So that was it that tratior finall broke his sisters heart. He knew all long that he was no good. He looked away he couldn't see his sister like this. he slowly got up and walked over to the bar and put his hand on his sisters back. "Everything alright Queen Susan". He smiled under his hood just making it so she could see his scar, then she would know who it was.

Susan's body stiffened and tensed up as soon as she heard the familiar voice. There was no need for her to even look under the hood, it was her big brother Peter. But Susan did not smile this time, even if he had come at the right time, Su was struggling within herself, and she had locked a part of herself away after what Jake had done to her, and the rest of her was hiding, and somewhat gloomy, and even if it wasn't Peter's fault, she found herself bitter, and angry. "No, everything isn't alright, King Peter." Susan responded back in a terse, somewhat cold voice, her eyes kept on her water. Susan felt very different from the exuberant person she had been that morning, having kissed Jake, and been pleased that he had come to see if she was alright. Then Susan's body untensed, and slumped, and she felt bad for sounding mean to Peter. "I'm sorry Pete. I don't know myself very much right now. I feel....so empty...." Susan spoke softly, her eyes filling again, and she rubbed them, getting annoyed with herself, and she sipped some more water, and rubbed her forehead, sometimes crying really hurt about the same much as who she was crying about.

Peter looked at his sister eyes wide. This wasn't the Susan he knew he was taken back at his sister words. "Well i came all the way out here to find you but i guess you don't need any help" he spat. He turned away. He was just about out the door. he stood there not knowing what his sister was going to do after this but it she wonted to be alone than that was fine by him. He didn't even look at her when she said she was sorry. How could he be a good brother when she wasn't even goes to be the same old Susan. He truned back, looking at her from behide,"Well I will just leave you to your self then, cuase it looks like that's what you wont". With these words he stomped out of the bar and didn't even noticed that he had run at into Lucy. He looked down at his sister, "Oh sorry Lu, if you looking for Susan she in there, pointing with his finger. "Maybe you can knock some sene into her". He tunred away and walked down the road a bit with Shadow right behind him.

Lucy had never been to a pub before but she had an odd feeling about it, as if she were to go in there. "Well, I don't know," she murmured to herself but ended up reluctantly opening the door. It was quite an adjustment, the light dimmer and it took her a second to get used to this but she was fine until she suddenly felt someone collide into her. "Oh, er, Peter?" His words were sharp and she turned coldly to him: he was different still. "I don't know what's wrong with you Peter, but you're not who you used to be," she griped, watching him leave. This whole setting made her nervous and a little jumpy too. Something was wrong, something was terribly wrong and her gut hardly ever lied to her so she trusted it.
Now spying Susan at a table alone, looking as if she were to fall completely apart at any time, Lucy rushed over to her side. "Oh Su, do tell me what the matter is! Peter is being an absolute..well, do tell me what is wrong please." Her eyes were pleading and she forced her way on the bench beside her sister, wrapping her arms around Susan. She never cried, she was the strong one, seeing her like this was awfully odd and it just stated more loudly that something was terribly wrong. In the good times, why were they falling apart so much? With Peter acting odd, Susan completely torn now, her and Ed seemed like the only 'normal' ones who hadn't been effected.

Over the last couple of weeks, the Pevensie siblings had become further and further apart. Edmund had heard that Lucy was going to Beruna and he had followed her, being the nosy type. Lucy had gone into a pub and Edmund followed, it was dimmy lit, so he couldn't see very far. He heard Peter's voice and walked towards the shape of Lucy and Peter. Peter walked past him and out of the door. Frowning Edmund watched and then followed Lucy to where his other sister, Susan was sitting.
"Where the hell has our dear brother gone?" he asked as he came up to Susan and Lucy still looking after Peter.

Susan bit back a snide remark she would have given her brother, because she really didn't feel as though she should put her unhappiness on him. But something was wrong with him, something had changed him, for the worst, not for better. Her vision blurred again, but she said nothing, feeling too exhausted by everything that had happened, and miserable, as she considered running after Peter, until she heard her younger sister's voice. Susan hugged her younger sister hurriedly, and began to explain, because she felt much better with Lucy around, who seemed to figure out quite quickly, that there was something wrong with their older brother. "I went to Jake's Castle today. We were going to have a picnic today, I'm pretty sure, but when I got there, I saw him kissing some other girl, and he seemed to have forgotten all about me." Susan explained as best she could, and actually managed a small, measly smile, though it didn't fit her very well. Her brown eyes had lost the happy glow that had seemed to always be there, and now Susan didn't look exceptionally beautiful as a lot of people saw her. Right then, she just looked very plain. A smile came across her lips unwillingly, as she heard her brother speak to them about Peter. "I don't know Ed. Someplace where he'll take out his anger. I just hope he doesn't do anything stupid." Susan's face looked worried, though she seemed pretty out of it, she still had to be a sister to them, and she would struggle to be alright for them, not herself.

Lucy silently listened as Susan explained all that happened to make her feel like this. She couldn't help but give a shocked look at what Jake did but completely erased the look and gave one more apologetic than shocked now--though it was quite a surprising thing to hear. "Oh Su, I'm sorry," she responded, laying her head on her older sister's shoulder. Perhaps Susan wouldn't want to hear this, but Lucy had tried biting her lip--no avail. "But at least there's more fish sea..." This was really meant to help but knowing her older sister it probably wouldn't do much good and she absolutely hated seeing Susan like this. Looking up to see Ed standing there, she shrugged at his question. Peter was being an ass lately but instead of saying anything against her older brother (whom she did love but he was being rather complicated now) she kept silent. "Who knows, Ed. He's not being very helpful at this time.." The obvious was stated and for a moment she glanced to the door before glancing back to her other brother and then to Susan. Now did not seem the time to talk about Peter.

Edmund looked at Susan, he had never met this Jake person, and he didn’t even know who he was. ”Who’s Jake?” he asked bluntly, looking from one sister to the next, no one seemed to tell him anything now a days.
”Sometimes I just want to hit Peter…” Edmund growled as he glanced towards the door in disgust, ”What is up with him? I just want to knock some sense into him…” he trailed off, realizing he was speaking his thoughts now which his sisters might find offensive. ”Sorry.” he muttered after a few seconds of silence. He pulled up a chair and sat down, staring at his feet feeling a bit ashamed.

Susan smiled at Lucy's attempt to cheer her up. Her eyes even had a small glimmer of their former joy, but it wasn't so easily returnable. It felt like Susan had had nothing left, just emptiness. Peter didn't seem to understand, but that was okay. Susan didn't expect him to see it, because he hadn't cared about anyone besides his siblings, at least, so far as Susan knew. "I'm sure there are. I'd be glad to find someone who Peter liked at the same time." Susan spoke and rolled her eyes. Peter was sometimes confusing, and annoying, but he was their brother, and some things just never changed. Of course Peter would have to be cautious about who Susan liked, it would go the same if Susan knew Peter liked somebody. It was just something siblings did. Susan glanced startled at Edmund, as she realized he had never even met the guy. "Jake was kind of my boyfriend, and Peter hated him because Jake's the White Witch's Great Grandson. But now I sort of can't blame Peter for disliking him anymore." Susan spoke, and shrugged, hoping Ed would have a different reaction then Peter's was, although, Edmund would have more reason to disliked Jake than Peter did. Susan looked prety miserable, but already she was coming out of the darkness as she spoke to her younger siblings, they had a talent for making her feel better. Occasionally Peter could too, but today he was being a genuine ass, and Susan wasn't so sure she liked that. "It's alright Ed. But we all have our moments when we are senseless." Susan spoke softly, and rubbed his arm to reassure him, and make him feel better, it was just something she was used to doing.

Lucy nodded solemnly. Finding someone Peter would be 'ok with' was easier said than done; but personally she wouldn't know if that would even be possible. He was rather protective of all of them, a little too much perhaps though sometimes she understood where he was coming from, other times she didn't. Looking at Ed comment that he would like to knock some sense in Peter made her smirk a little. "I think I would like to do the same, Ed," she confessed, not apologizing to that the least bit since it was true. Lucy became stern against once more, suppressing a sigh. What was there to do now? It did seem as things were falling apart at the moment, surely there had to be some way to fix things. "Maybe we should go for a nice ride?--I think it would cheer us all up a bit," she blurted rather enthusiastically, trying to get everyone in an upbeat mood although she doubted it would do any good. Frowning to herself, Lucy looked around the pub which seemed rather popular. It was sort of depressing in here though with the dim light and all.

Edmund listened to Susan; quiet interested in this Jake person but when she mentioned that he was the Great grandson of the women that had made his life misery, his face stiffened. ”Oh.” he muttered, glaring at the ground, ”Surely Susan, surely you couldn’t trust someone like that….” he trailed off, and watched Lucy, giving her a weak smile.
”I will speak to him soon.” That last part he meant Peter, but in the back of his mind he wanted to go and stab this Jake person like his older brother seemed to want to. ”So, this Jake guy is going to become a threat…” Edmund glared at the floor again, memories going through his mind at high speed.

Susan looked down for a moment, and sighed, her eyes somewhat sad, but she seemed much happier when her siblings were around her, listening to what she had to say. Her misery had gone, and she finally felt herself get over Jake, and know that she could find somebody else who she was sure would love her more, and actually want to be with her and only her. "Ed, I thought he loved me. I was stupid to think that, alright." Susan spoke softly, her eyes lowered, as she kept herself from saying how devastating a blow it really was for her. It was true, there were other fish in the sea, but they weren't like Jake had been to Susan. But now, the girl knew, it was too late for him to beg for forgiveness, if he even dared to do so. It was time they both moved on, if Jake liked to do something like he had done with that other girl, well then he could go ahead and do it. But Susan would not let herself be involved. "I don't know Ed. I really hope not. It depends on what he thinks. He was stupid enough to have kissed that person, but I don't care. If he dares to believe I should choose him over any of you, or Narnia, it's time I took action." Susan spoke, her eyes flashing dangerously, a determined look on her face, she was sure that she could handle it herself if she had to. Susan was upset, and now she was feeling angry at Jake, and it was hard to look at her brother Edmund as she could see the memories were coursing through him. "I will promise you this Ed. He will not go near you as long as he remains a ignorant fool. If he goes against us, I'll make sure he doesn't go anywhere near you. It was time Susan's protective instincts set in, her mind began to think more clearly. A grim smile came across her lips, but when she looked at Edmund, she nodded to him, there was no way that Susan would let Jake near her younger brother, not after what he had done to her. Hearing Lucy, a real smile came across Susan Pevensie's lips, and it seemed as though the winter's chill that had come over the queen vanished, and she smirked. "I bet I'll win riding to Cair Paravel." Her eyes were sparkling as she glanced at Lucy, waiting for her reaction, as she headed towards the door, feeling quite happy again.
