Aerai walked stealthily out of the cover of the trees to the open space of the Great River of Narnia. SHe smiled na dlooked about her. Surrounding her were many trees, some swaying witht eh breeze and others looming over her. Most were usual to her presence; Aerai's dark hair dangled past her shoulders and moved about wit her movements and the wind.
Aerai had a bow and arrows slung across her shoulder, the strap of the latter across her chest in a comfortable manner. Aerai set her bow down beside her kneeled in the grass by the river, washing her pale face with its cool waters. She sighed, it was refreshing. She looked up abruptly when she heard something in teh woods behind her. She turned around suddenly and picked up her bow, her other hand ont the long sword strapped around her small waist.
SHe might be being paranoid, but better to be safe than sorry. She listened for a moment longer and ten called out confidently
"Who's there? Show yourselves!"
She looked beyond the trees suspiciously: she did not spook easily, and she would not appear frightened.

Susan Pevensie smiled to herself as her gray horse snorted to see that elven warrior be so on guard. It did slightly worry Susan, since she was so sure Narnia was through its' dark times, and so, there would not be need for too much caution. The queen of narnia rode forward slowly though, a polite smile on her lips, her bow strung and ready, though she would not use it on any narnian, and her talking horse strode proudly, clearly honored to be bearing his queen. "It's alright elf. There is no need for so much caution. I'm Queen Susan, and I see you're pretty handy with a bow." Susan recognized the shape of a bow very similar to her own, and it was always a pleasure for her to meet someone who used a bow, just like she did.
The young woman let her gray stallion sniff at the elf before them, though she was a bit careful to make sure that he wouldn't get hurt. "Storm, what do you think we should do?" Susan asked her steed, who always was pleased when she seemed to have something that he needed to respond to, to prove that he talked. The young queen waited, letting the talking horse of narnia think, before she heard him respond, "Wait, and talk to this elf. She seems to know what she's doing, and she'd be a great ally to narnia." Susan agreed, and rode him a little bit closer, showing the elf before her that she meant no harm, and that she came in peace.

aerai lowered her bow and bowed her head whens eh learned that she was in the presence of a queen. it was strange how all of this worked, she had been planning to go to the castle and speak to the queen but aerai guessed that this would work as well. aerai didnt bow to just anyone, they had to get her respect first, which was why se hadnt dropped to her knee like most others would have advised her. she smiled to herself, the elders would be horrified when they learned that she hadnt perfornmed such a courtesy.
"im honored your highness."
she said with a small smile, bringing her head up. she grimaced when the horse sniffed at her like some sort of dog sniffing at a biscuit but she made no other movement. she lifted her head and straightened herself, looking at the queen for the first time thoroughly. she was rather young in her years and held a bow herself. she smiled.
"ah i see that you are an archer as well. of course i had heard stories, but i didnt expect the queen to be here."
{im so sorry, i know this thread is in the archives now, but since i 'fpound a way' i plan to be on more often.}
