aerai awoke one morning and prepared herself for a long journey: to the cair paravel, where she would adress the kings and queens of narnia personally. she was a bit excited to meet, them, to see what they were like. though that she had heard that they were all young in years, that wasnt uncommon to aerai, she being older than most otehr creatures anyway. besides, these kings and queens were human, but this didnt cause her to look down on them at all.
aerai gathered herself before she left her small village of elves. many of the elders had come to see her off, and she was grateful for the support, she and they had discussed long into the night about this trip, where the alliances lied. aerai herself had been content on supporting the kings and queens of narnia, and to ally themselves with the royals, as that was how here father had died, serving them. aerai smiled at her people and waved, giving small smiles to her friends and family. she had packed light, seeinga s she didnt really need a lot, most of the things that she needed she could find or make on the way. the main things she had was a pouch of supplies such as clean water and some tools, and her bow and arrows.
after a couple of days of travelling on foot, she finally arrived at the palace. she stood at the entrance and looked around. she had never been here before as an adult: she had come once as a child with her father to visit aslan when the war had been at its peak. she looked around her and got lost in her htoughts, thinking of what she would say to teh royals when she met them.

Peter had been in bed for along time after the fight with Soren. He was still weak and hurt, but he was still the king of Narnia and he had things to do. He slowly got out of bed and looked down at his chest. Black then was nothing but Blackness along his veins. He could feel the darkness moving though his body. What ever the poison was it was working. That was Soren's plan along, was to not kill him but weaken him, so the next time he could kill him. Peter sighed and grabbed the cane that was left at him bedside.
He got dressed and opened the door. There were two gurads out side. Peter smiled, it must have been Jake's idea to post them outside his door. He told them to leave and that he was fine. Peter slowly made his way down the hall, using his cane to help himself. Some way for a king to look. He turned to see a young gurad."My Lord, there is a girl waiting out side the castle". Peter smiled,"Thank you, Jason". Jason nodded and ran off. Peter waited till the gates were open and he made his way down the stone steps. It felt nice to be out in the sun again. Two guards followed Peter out of the castle.
Peter slowly made it down the steps and too the girl. He looked at her with his one good eye and smiled,"King Peter, how may I help you, m'lady". He said as he bowed even though it was a small bow, he did one anyways. Some way to see the king of Narnia for the first time, he was only 17 and he was walking on a cane and his right was scared down his face and his eye cloud, he was only 17 and already blind. Peter shook off this thought and waited for the girl to answer.

"King Peter, how may I help you, m'lady"
aerai's intent inspection of the side of the castle was inturrupted when a young boy interrupted her politely. her hand instinctly went to her waist, where a small dagger was hidden. when she looked him over, her hand relaxed, as did the two guards at his side. she smiled at this, if this boy was king, of course they would be watching her, she was an unknown character. she raised a slight eyebrow at his move, a small bow in her direction. she didnt move her position, she was still facing the side of hte castle. she looked him over after her introduced himself.
he was rather young, younger than she had expected. what surprised her was that he had a cane even at his young age. she lowered her head slightly in a slight bow. she could see the two guards stir at this, it wasnt respectable for a subject to fail to bow humbly before the king. she wasnt being disrespectful, she just didnt plan to bow to anyone until they gained that right over her. she returned her gaze to the castle wall. "one of the stones here is loose. an enemy could easily remove it and use it to their methods, you highness. i suggest that you get if repaired." her gaze returned to the guards. she smiled kindly then faced the king and his companions.
"my apologies. i am aerai agre, i am the leader of the elven tribe of the great woods of narnia. i have come to discuss matters of alliance." her glance flickered over at the two guards and she smiled broadly. "you can tell the guards to relax, i have to intent to harm you. though.." she looked at the cane in his hand, it had caught her interest. "if i may ask..." seh looked at the kings face and tilted her head downward in inquiry to the cane, as if asking for the story.

Peter smiled. He turned to one of the guards,"Please go inside and let Akio know about this". pointing to the place where the rock was missing. The guard nodded and left, Peter nodded his head at the other guard, to leave. The gurad looked at him for a second before walking up the steps on closed the castle gate. Peter truned back to the women."Sorry about that, but at this time we are at war, so we have to on high alert and after almost being killed today, they don't wont to leave me out of site". There was gurads everwhere. Up in the towers and all around the castle.
They had to be ready if Soren attacked. He smiled,"Yes an alliance would be good, We need more on our side if were going to win this war". Peter couldnt help but notice that the women was eyeing his cane. He smiled,"Ah this" lifting up the cane. Peter slowly pulled up the sleeve on his shirt. There were his veins should be blue, but they weren't, they were black.
It was all over his body, and the posion was doing a great toll on the kings body."I was posioned, What better way to weaken a king". There had been no sign of Soren after the fight but Peter knew that he was somewhere out there, getting more men, so that the next time he attack it would be the end of Narnia forever.

aerai turned to look at her royal companion, her face filled with concern. "why, what happened your highness?" she looked around them and touched her hand to her waist again, where the small dagger was. she was best with a bow and arrow, but she was also skilled with a sword, she and her fellow elves had been trained to fight since a very young age. when she saw that no one was there, her hand relaxed but still stayed at the hilt for a moment longer before lowering it. it was strange, she never seemed to be able to put down her guard. it was how her father had taught her and it jad just stuck with her.
"Yes an alliance would be good, We need more on our side if were going to win this war."
aerai smiled in encouragement. "well yes, you see, my father was loyal to you and your cause, he died fighting in the war with you. and my mother, she was a healer in the war as well." she said this last part with pride, with just a hint of sadness in her voice. her father had passed away, but her mother had still to be found, this was the cause of sadness. her mother was either dead or alive, but stil aerai had no way of knowing.
"nonetheless, i plan to follow in their footsteps," she looked at the floor as if deep in thought, then back up at the young king "and the elves and i will be willing to offer up our services ayt any time. as you may know, us elves were taught to fight at the same time as walking." she laughed and then touched the hilt of her sword again, this time with a smile and as a symbol of assurance. "and dont worry, we will win. of this she was confidant.
"ah this, I was posioned, What better way to weaken a king".
aerai looked back up at the king in alarm and inspected the young king. "if i may ask, how was it done? by food or arrow?" she stopped, the king might wonder why she needed to know this information. "the thing is, as i told you, my mother was a healer, and she taught me much. there may be the possibility that we elves can help." she smiled kindly and in concern.
