Oh what a lovely day, the sun shining bright, a nice breeze, such a warm day at that. Bryn frowned bitterly; how it used to be so beautiful, laced in white. It looked like such a fragile and beautiful world then, now, well now it was just utterly green and thriving in life, life of her enemies. The scowl went away though and the girl continued down a small winding path in peace for now though she was thinking of many things.
On her walk, however, she heard an unnatural crunch of something behind her. No, this certainly was not made by an animal. Going into complete defensive mode, she found the hilt of her knife and turned dangerously around, but wasn't a fool so kept her gaze constantly darting. "Who's there..?" she inquired, not necessarily threateningly but in more of an innocent voice, as if she were scared. Fools they were.

Upon seeing who it was, though she was skeptical, she removed her hand from the hilt of her knife and stood, her features softening now as she remembered that this was Narnia, where everyone was supposedly friendly. Oh how it amused her so. But brushing her thoughts away, she now looked politely at the company. "Well I'm terribly sorry, however you frightened me. Though I suppose I'm living in the older days when you couldn't trust anyone," she replied with a simple shrug. And upon hearing his joke, or whatever it was supposed to be, Bryn laughed a melodic tone. "Well I would hope not."
She smiled and watched him pick up wood. "I am Byrn; I guess you could say I'm rather new here, having escaped the lands up North where I was held hostage once. Anyhow, who exactly are you?" The innocent look was on her face and she leaned idly on a tree, not finding any harm with him.

Upon hearing his title, she couldn't help but smile a little bit, and now remembering her manners, Bryn did a small curtsy. "Well I do believe I did not know I was in to presence of royalty; forgive me, your highness." When she looked at the wood, she had a puzzled expression on her face. "Why is a king gathering wood out here?" And what of Jadis?--that was truly the first thought that had come to her mind but she had not dared say anything yet. "Pardon me if this is out of line," she started, "but is it true that you have defeated Jadis?"
Though she had admired Jadis and the such, she kept her feelings inward and her eyes went wide, as if with excitement. He wasn't bad though; he was nothing like she was. Such a pity, but she could use him to her advantage somehow.

Well this was an odd situation; but just by his personality what little that she had observed, he wasn't like her at all, personality wise. "But you are a king," she went on, dropping the subject previous. "A king shouldn't be doing something like this; he should be doing something more important." What a twisted world. Finding wood herself, she began to gather some as well. "Wait, why are you not at your lands?" she inquired curiously. "You should be where that witch used to live, correct?" Perhaps it was none of her business, she knew that well, but it was a good conversation to get the information she wanted.

Obviously not, she thought bitterly to herself while retaining that innocent look across her facade. "Ah, I see," she replied. "So there's to be no more wars?" she inquired, with an excited tone. Bryn looked at the sleigh in confusion: a sleigh would not do any good in this weather. Weird, but she said nothing to the fact now. When it seemed as if she would have no avail today, an idea suddenly sparked in her mind. Since she was new here, a said escapee, she wouldn't have a clue where anything was, or shouldn't. But instead of asking it aloud in such a manner she looked at him, as if she were about to cry. "I should be getting back but I have no idea how to get out of here..."

Taking in a few deep breaths to go with the act, she nodded slowly. "All right," she murmured. "And you won't mind doing that either?" What a nice king; too bad he was her enemy now. Bryn looked around at all the trees, as if they all looked the same. "It must have taken you a long time to remember where you are in here." And thus it began; she looked at him admiringly, waiting for him to take off whenever so that she could get out of here, though really these woods were really a piece of cake to navigate.

Figures; growing up in Narnia because he wasn't tough enough to stay in the north. Her thoughts were of her own but she plodded along innocently. "Oh," she responded. "Well that wasn't so bad. I can't believe I didn't know my way out when it was this simple." The plains again. "OK!" Bryn quickened her pace, catching up with him. She admired the castle, looking at his proud structure. Too bad it was going to fall and become a pile of rubble one day. "Such a beautiful castle." Jake was rather quick and she looked over to see he had walked off, she followed, catching up to him again.

She went along and soon spotted his castle just as he pointed it out. It was a nice building but its fate would serve as the other. A small smile grew on her features, and she retained the look of the innocent. "It is quite beautiful," she replied. And yet, another scheme grew in her mind and she decided to go with it. Suppressing a smirk she glanced at him. "Oh King Jake, you're amazing." And with that she flung her arms around him, hugging him. "Your kindness is so nice; and I'm so glad you defeated the witch that was threatening Narnia. Your name will go down famously and people will always respect you." Stepping back now, she looked at the palace again; personally she liked the other better but kept her thoughts to herself. "The Gentle Queen is quite lucky to have you."
